I make my art because I have desire to create things. All my life I have used my hands to build things, from houses to fine furniture. I have a love for art and have tried my hand in many forms, from drawing, to painting, to jewelry; but I have always come back to wood as a medium.

In 2004 I started my wearable art career after watching my first wearable art show in Juneau, Alaska. At the time, I had some extra veneer from a project and thought it would be a challenge to create a garment from it for the next show.  Well this challenge became a passion and for the last 15 years I have explored transforming the static form of wood into a fluid wearable piece of art, emphasizing the natural beauty, color and grain of the wood.
